Dental Extraction

December 26th, 2012

Dental extraction is the removal of a tooth from the mouth. Although there are many reasons for extraction, as a matter of policy, we use it only as a measure of last resort. Your natural (permanent) teeth are meant to stay in your mouth and as long as there is a way to treat them and preserve them, we would recommend avoiding extraction. Even when a tooth is damaged, in most cases it can be treated and reconstructed or what is left of it can be used to support certain dental constructions.
